Our store's history:
The CD Exchange began as a web-only business over 10 years ago. We opened our first retail location in 1998 practically across the street from our current location. In June of 2003 we moved into our new store, which is about twice as large as our old one was. We are locally owned and operated, you can almost always find the owners Bill & Jen in the store.
We carry over 5000 CDs and about 1000 DVDs. We only sell items that are in excellent condition, and all are fully guaranteed. We pay cash or store credit for like-new CDs and DVDs. Anything that is in poor condition may be donated to our DiscsForDogs program if you wish.
About the DiscsForDogs program:
Since we are quite selective about the quality of the items that we will buy, people would frequently just give us their unacceptable CDs and DVDs because they didn't want them back. For many years, we either threw out these items, or handed them out to interested customers. Around the beginning of 2004, we had the first initial idea for what would become DiscsForDogs. We began saving these old unwanted CDs and pretty soon we had a few hundred of them. We decided that we could offer them to our customers for only $.50-$1 each in a special "Used & Abused" bin in our store, and give the money to charity. Being huge animal lovers, and having adopted our Mollie from the Erie County SPCA back in 1998, we decided to donate this money to them. In the first month of the program, we raised over $200!
